I’m Sonja Prinz — a northern-born mom and family photographer who loves capturing the everyday moments that make family life so precious. My approach is relaxed, authentic and full of heart: I aim to make the camera invisible so real interactions, laughter and tender gestures come to the foreground. That’s where the most memorable family photos are born. Why choose me? Because I specialise in family photography with an emphasis on natural, unposed moments. I prefer to work outdoors in beautiful natural light — beaches, fields and parks — but I also love homestory sessions that document life at home. For newborn and maternity sessions I bring the same gentle, attentive approach: patience, flexibility and a calm atmosphere are essential to make parents and babies feel comfortable. My photographic style is warm and unobtrusive. I don’t rely on stiff poses or elaborate prop setups — I focus on the emotional connection between family members. For newborn shoots I work sensitively in your familiar surroundings, allowing feeding, cuddling and quiet pauses as needed. For maternity shoots we find locations that match the mood you want — from windswept beaches to quiet meadows — and I support you with outfit guidance and practical tips. How I work: After your inquiry you’ll receive a shooting guide with outfit and preparation tips. On request I bring a selection from my client wardrobe. During the shoot I guide gently and create prompts that feel natural, always prioritising a relaxed atmosphere for children and parents. After the session I carefully edit the images and provide them via a password-protected online gallery where you can choose your favourites. As a mother myself, I know how fleeting these moments are. My mission is to create timeless, honest photographs you’ll love to look at again and again.
