At City-Fotostudio in Plettenberg I (Petra Burmeister) capture families with sensitivity and professional experience. Family photography for me means more than a picture: it’s about little gestures, genuine looks and the mood that reflects your relationships. My background in portrait and newborn photography gives me the skills to photograph families of all sizes in a calm, natural way. My approach is natural, timeless and people-focused. Whether it’s multi-generation portraits, children’s photos or images of a new baby — I use warm, soft light and a restrained visual style that preserves emotion rather than overpowering it. For baby and newborn sessions I work gently: rooms are kept warm, props are soft and stable, and hygiene is a top priority. All sets and blankets are cleaned and disinfected before each session. How I work: before the shoot we discuss your wishes and timing so everyone — especially the children — feels comfortable. In the studio I offer various backgrounds and props; I also photograph outdoors in soft morning or evening light if desired. During the session I give gentle guidance and always watch for spontaneous moments that reveal true emotion. After the shoot you’ll receive contact proofs by email to choose your favorites. Final retouching is tasteful and natural — improving light, color and composition while keeping the authenticity of the images. Final files are delivered via secure download link for easy access. The City-Fotostudio operates by appointment only, is conveniently located with its own parking right in front of the building.
