Hi, I'm Katrin from Åhoj Studio. As a family photographer based in Paderborn, my aim is to preserve genuine, unstaged memories: the laughter of children, quiet embraces and everyday moments that tell your family's story. I favour a documentary, unobtrusive style that keeps images natural and timeless. My process is personal and relaxed. We start with a short conversation to understand your wishes and choose a place where you feel at ease — at home, on a walk or at a favourite playground. During the session I use gentle prompts and encourage interaction rather than formal posing. This approach produces authentic children and family photos that reflect real relationships and emotions. Working regularly in Paderborn & OWL, I know how to use natural light and read situations quickly — especially important for newborn and baby sessions. I often photograph newborn reportages in the family's home so the little ones stay comfortable and the images feel true to life. My editing is subtle, designed to enhance the mood of the photographs with soft tones and natural contrast. I deliver images that you’ll be proud to hang on your wall and that will still move you years from now.
