I'm Bert from Bert Steven Pictures. Based in Ochtrup, I specialise in family photography that captures the honest, everyday moments that matter most. My approach is calm and unobtrusive: I prefer natural light and relaxed settings so children and parents can be themselves. The result is timeless images that reflect real emotion rather than staged poses. My sessions are designed to be comfortable and enjoyable. We begin with a conversation about location, clothing and your ideas. Many families choose a walk in a park or a cozy home session — formats that loosen up the atmosphere and create space for spontaneous moments. With babies and newborns I work patiently and attentively, allowing time for feeds and breaks so every portrait is relaxed and authentic. During shoots I give gentle direction and plenty of room for natural interaction. After the session I carefully select and edit the best images with a subtle, timeless style. While family photography is my focus, I also photograph newborns, baby bump sessions and children’s portraits, as well as special moments like baptisms, communions and birthdays. My background in people- and newborn photography means I handle sensitive situations with experience and care.
