Maigut Fotografie is based in Cologne-Ehrenfeld and is primarily known for people photography in three core areas: weddings, business and portraiture. Family photography is an occasional but cherished part of our work — we happily photograph milestones like maternity, newborns, children, baptisms and communions. Why choose Maigut Fotografie? Karin and Tobi bring complementary strengths: Karin’s background in directing and long experience as a model helps guide sensitive, composed sessions (especially for newborns and maternity), while Tobi’s reportage and multimedia experience captures spontaneous, lively moments. Together they balance gentle direction with documentary awareness so family photos feel both warm and natural. Our approach is relaxed and personal. For families with babies and young children we allow plenty of time for settling in, feeding or brief breaks, and we prefer subtle guidance over rigid posing. Whether in our cosy Ehrenfeld studio or at your home, we aim to create a calm atmosphere where real interactions can unfold. For baptism or communion we photograph with respect for the ceremony and an eye for meaningful details. How it works: we start with a short introduction — by phone or in the studio — to discuss mood, locations and image wishes. During the shoot we offer simple posing tips and lots of freedom for real interaction. Afterwards we support you in selecting the best images; careful digital development and tasteful retouching ensure photographs that remain appealing for years. Note: our main focus remains weddings, business and portraits — family sessions are offered as a complementary service with the same care and craftsmanship.
