I'm Annika — a moment-catcher, storyteller and family photographer based in Hürth. My work for familienfotografie.online is rooted in a documentary approach: I aim to capture the real — the morning cuddles, a child's spontaneous grin, the delicate hair on a newborn's shoulder. My philosophy is simple: moments before poses. Emotion over perfection. With extensive experience in wedding and birth photography, I’m used to staying calm in unpredictable situations and being present at the exact right moment. I bring this calmness to family sessions: I photograph unobtrusively, with warm humor and an eye for detail, so you end up with images that feel like memories rather than staged pictures. My visual style is natural, intimate and timeless. I blend candid everyday shots with gentle, considered portraiture when you want it — tender newborn portraits at home, playful children’s sessions in the park, or authentic family life captured during daily routines. My Doula training and birth photography background give me additional sensitivity for newborn care, breastfeeding moments and the tender postpartum period. How do I work with families? Before the shoot we discuss what makes your family unique. On the day, my aim is for you to feel relaxed: minimal direction, plenty of space to be yourselves. Often the best images appear when children are curious rather than posed. After the session I carefully select and edit the images to reflect your atmosphere — warm, honest and understated. I’m based in Hürth and photograph families across Cologne, Bonn, Aachen, Düsseldorf and the surrounding areas.
