I’m Maya Schmitz, owner of Maya‑S‑Fotografie in Hückelhoven, and family photography is at the heart of what I do. I focus on family portraits, children and baby photography, newborn and maternity sessions — and bring the same sensitive approach to wedding photography. My aim is to capture authentic relationships and everyday moments that transport you back in time when you look at the images years from now. My style is calm, professional and creative: whether in my cozy studio or outdoors, I create a relaxed setting where children can be themselves and parents feel at ease. With patience, empathy and a friendly manner I guide rather than stage, which leads to natural portraits and lively documentary-style moments. Personal contact matters to me: before the shoot we discuss your wishes, location ideas and the visual style you prefer. During the session we review images together on the camera or screen so we can immediately pursue the best concepts.
