I’m Kerstin from Das Portraitstudio in Haan — a professional photographer since 2007 with a passion for family, newborn and wedding photography. My philosophy is simple: emotion before perfection. Rather than staged poses I look for authentic moments — the tiny hand squeeze, a surprised laugh, a quiet exchange between parents and child — and turn them into images you’ll return to again and again. My experience as a family photographer shows in a calm, well-organised shoot. Whether a home story, an outdoor session in nearby nature or a relaxed studio booking, I design the session so everyone feels comfortable. I build in breaks, guide poses gently, and offer light day-makeup for mothers if desired. From outfit advice to selecting final images at the computer, I accompany you through the whole process. Newborn sessions are particularly close to my heart: in my warm studio I work gently, allowing plenty of time for feeding, changing and cuddles. I bring props and backgrounds but always keep your baby at the centre. For family shoots I favour natural situations — a walk together, time in your garden, or cosy moments at home. This approach creates authentic children’s photos, baby portraits, baptism and communion images, and joyful birthday pictures that tell your family story. Why choose me?
