As a family photographer based in Gevelsberg, my priority is authenticity. I’m Kathrin Heumann, the photographer behind HK photographics, and I focus on capturing families as they truly are: connected, in motion and full of small, truthful moments. My editing is subtle and supportive — warm tones and gentle retouching that enhance the feeling without erasing the real features that make you unique. My working style is personal and calm: before a session we talk about your wishes, favorite locations and outfit ideas. In the studio you’ll find a cozy, living-room atmosphere where children and parents quickly relax. For newborns and babies I work with extra care and patience — their safety and comfort always come first. If you prefer, I also photograph homestory and outdoor sessions to capture natural interactions in familiar surroundings. Most people aren’t used to being in front of a camera, so I guide gently: small prompts, playful encouragements and careful observation help me capture genuine smiles and candid moments. My professional experience (bpp membership, VPKF acceptance and many family reportages) allows me to manage lively shoots while producing cohesive image series that become treasured memories.
