As a family photographer based in Erkelenz, I capture the small and large moments of your family life with warmth and experience. My approach is emotional, authentic, stylish and natural—I stay in the background, offer gentle direction instead of stiff posing, and focus on real reactions, hugs and in-between moments. The result: images that still move you years from now. I’m Melanie—primarily a wedding photographer in Erkelenz who is also specialised in family and newborn photography. With over a hundred weddings and numerous family and baby sessions behind me, I bring calm, structure and a refined sense for mood. With children, creating comfort is key: we play, explore the location or simply cuddle—and I document those intimate moments without pressure. Whether outdoors at a favourite spot or in my studio in Erkelenz, the studio’s warm earth tones and boho touch create a cosy fallback for rainy days. For newborn sessions I ensure a peaceful environment, confident handling of babies and the time new families need. I gladly advise on outfits and can provide pieces from my wardrobe when appropriate. Process: We’ll have a short pre-shoot chat to get to know each other, choose location and outfits, and I’ll share styling tips. On the day we’ll be relaxed and have fun—I'll ease any nervousness, guide subtly and capture authentic moments.
