I am Sarah Jacobus, a one-woman photography studio based in Schortens, specializing in family, maternity and newborn photography. My work focuses on capturing authentic, unposed moments — the small gestures, quiet smiles and natural connections that make family life unique. I bring patience, a gentle direction style and an observant eye to every session. Sessions take place in my cozy attic studio for intimate portraits, outdoors for relaxed family pictures, or at your home if preferred (a travel fee applies). Because my studio is small, family sessions are usually outdoors, which creates spontaneous, lively pictures—especially great with children. I plan shoots to be child-friendly with breaks and a relaxed pace so everyone feels comfortable and we capture real moments. I provide a variety of props and sets—soft blankets, wooden bowls and newborn accessories—but you are welcome to bring personal items like toys or clothing that tell your family’s story. I personally edit every image to achieve the look you see in my galleries. After the session you can choose your favorite photos in peace at home and I’ll deliver the final files digitally.
