Welcome — I’m Katharina, a family and birth photographer based in Hildesheim who loves to capture real, unposed family life. As a mother of two girls, I know how quickly childhood passes. My work focuses on preserving those fleeting everyday moments in warm, natural images that feel true to you. I favor a documentary approach: I often come to your home, blend into the background and photograph you living your life — cuddling, playing, cooking, or simply being together. I rarely direct, because the best family photos are born from authentic interactions. This relaxed approach works especially well with children and new parents. In addition to family sessions, I photograph pregnancies and the first weeks with a newborn. From outdoor maternity portraits to intimate postpartum and newborn photography, each session is tailored to reflect your personal story. I also offer sensitive birth and postpartum support to document those first intense hours and days as a family. My style is minimal and truthful — I keep equipment simple so I can fully focus on you. Technically experienced and calm, I aim to create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable.
