At JonahLu Fotografie (Kirchhain), my focus is on creating genuine, timeless family photography that celebrates connection and personality. I’m Janina Umbscheiden — a former early-childhood educator turned photographer — and I bring patience, warmth and a child-centered approach to every session. My goal is to capture the small gestures and real emotions that make your family unique. My core specialties are family sessions, maternity (babybauch) shoots, baby photography and newborn portraits. Because of my background working with children, I know how to build trust quickly and create a calm, relaxed environment where babies and parents can be themselves. The studio in Großseelheim feels like a cozy living room rather than a cold set, perfect for intimate newborn images or comfortable maternity portraits. Outdoor family shoots are also a favourite when you want natural, playful photos in a favourite location. I work in a documentary-inspired style with gentle direction — not forcing poses but guiding moments so they become beautiful photographs. Before the shoot we discuss your vision: tones, location, and special moments you want to remember. You can also use items from my client wardrobe to create a harmonious look. The process is personal and straightforward: consultation, relaxed shooting (studio or on location) and selection in an online gallery. You receive professionally edited digital images and can order prints or products if you wish. The studio is family-ready with snacks, a changing station and a warm atmosphere to keep everyone comfortable.
