At mei-fotografie the focus is on the small, real moments of your family. I'm Meike Meißner, a biologist and photographer from Hofgeismar, passionate about capturing closeness, curiosity and relaxed togetherness. Instead of a studio I prefer to go outside — nature is where the most vivid family photos happen. My work is shaped by calmness, patience and an eye for detail: whether it's a shy smile from a toddler, a loving gesture between parents or a spontaneous moment with a dog. Years of experience with children and animals allow me to create a relaxed atmosphere in which even reserved families feel at ease. My daughter and my dog have been my favorite models for years — and they shaped my authentic, warm and understated style. How I work: First we discuss your wishes and choose suitable locations together. Outdoor sessions usually last 1–2 hours depending on mood and participants, with plenty of breaks. I guide you with gentle direction, small games and time for natural interaction — the result are images that tell your story, not posed portraits. After the shoot you'll receive an online gallery to pick your favorites. I personally edit the selected images — I do not provide unedited raw files because post-processing is part of my artistic work. Why choose mei-fotografie? As a nature lover and photographer I'm willing to crawl on my belly or trek through muddy ground to capture those special, honest moments. Whether baby photos, children's portraits or full family sessions — my goal is to create images that bring you back to that moment. I occasionally photograph couple/engagement shoots, but my main focus and passion is family and child photography in Hofgeismar and the surrounding area.
