Welcome to Photography Jansen — your family photographer in Neu‑Hohenschönhausen and Berlin. I’m Peter Jansen: a passionate photographer originally from Cologne, living in Berlin for over 15 years, father and proud grandfather. My work focuses on authenticity, closeness and capturing the small, meaningful moments that make a family unique. Why clients choose me: I bring calmness and empathy to every session — qualities that matter most when photographing families and children. Kids respond to atmosphere far more than to instructions; I therefore create a relaxed setting where laughter, curiosity and everyday gestures can unfold naturally. From newborn and baby portraits to children’s celebrations, baptisms and communions, my aim is to deliver timeless images that tell your family’s story. What makes my approach unique: I blend a documentary eye with photographic sensitivity. Instead of forcing posed shots, I guide you with gentle, creative prompts so real moments emerge. I use light and gear discreetly to keep the focus on emotion and connection. How we work together: Every shoot starts with a free pre‑session conversation, either in person or by phone. We discuss your wishes, favourite locations (including at‑home sessions) and the visual style you prefer. I like to shoot where children feel comfortable — parks, playgrounds or your home. During the session I offer clear, easy-to-follow direction and plenty of room for natural interaction; patience and short breaks are always part of the plan. My motivation: It moves me when families tell me their photos reflect the warmth, quirks and everyday beauty of their lives. Those lasting memories are what I love to create.
