I’m Katha from Caminka Fotografie — your family photographer based in Gunzenhausen. My work focuses on closeness, emotion and genuine connections: natural family photos, tender newborn and baby portraits, and child-friendly portraits. As a mother and trained social pedagogue I bring patience, understanding and calm to every shoot — qualities that make a big difference with babies and young children. My approach is authentic, modern and detail-oriented. I don’t stage moments; I capture what truly happens between you — laughter, cuddles and the small everyday gestures that later become treasured memories. My visual style is warm and emotional, I favour natural light and the golden hour, and I choose locations where you feel comfortable and relaxed. How a family session with me works: we start by getting to know each other so you feel at ease in front of the camera. For homestory sessions I plan plenty of time for feeding, nappy changes and quiet pauses so nothing feels rushed. For outdoor sessions with children I create playful, gentle prompts and let them explore — this is how honest, lively images are made. All selected, successful images are professionally edited and delivered in a password-protected online gallery. I apply gentle skin corrections when necessary but never alter pores, body shapes or characteristic marks — your pictures should remain true to you. Why Caminka? The name is a personal homage to my family and a daily reminder of why I photograph: my “why” is love. It remains. Forever.
