At Hei‑Tiki we focus on children and family photography with an approach rooted in our kindergarten and school work. That experience gives us a special sensitivity for relaxed, natural moments — and we bring that to every family session, whether it’s sibling photos at the daycare, a relaxed family shoot on the playground, or portraits during a school event. Founder Björn Vilcens is a father himself and started Hei‑Tiki to create modern, honest images that truly reflect children. His personal experience — including parenting a child with Down syndrome — shapes a patient, respectful and empathetic way of working. How we work Young children (crib age) are photographed during free play: we sit with them, wait for unposed moments and interfere as little as possible. Older children are photographed in guided play: we use playground elements as a course, speak a lot with the children and introduce playful cues so natural images emerge. Family photographs are usually made in familiar surroundings — at the kindergarten, on the schoolyard, at home or outdoors — so children stay at ease and parents receive genuine, lively photos. Ordering & data protection Parents receive password‑protected online galleries secured by individual codes. Ordering is easy and safe online; prints are shipped directly to your home. This streamlined process saves time and reduces organisation for schools and kindergartens.
