Hello — nice that you’re here. I’m Carolin Mühlbrett: a social worker, mother of three and a documentary family photographer based in Ostfildern / Stuttgart. My work grows from a sincere interest in people and their everyday lives. I believe the small, seemingly ordinary moments — the helping hand when tying shoes, the sleepy hair in the morning, the scent of a newborn — are what make memories vivid. My background in social work helps me respond sensitively to your needs and to create an atmosphere where you can be yourselves. I photograph documentary-style: unstaged, observant and with an eye for detail. The result is photographs that tell the story of real life together — tender, aesthetic and timeless. How I work: I come to where you feel comfortable — at home, on an outing, or during the special postpartum period. I prefer to observe rather than direct, capturing the natural flow of your day. We’ll start with a conversation to talk through wishes and practicalities. During the session I remain discreet, attentive and flexible so genuine moments can unfold undisturbed. What I offer: documentary family reportages as well as sensitive maternity and newborn photography. I also lovingly document the first days after birth — weeks that are intimate and full of wonder.
