SILKE BERG - Individuelle Fotografie

As a family photographer based in Offenburg, I — Silke Berg — combine years of experience, a sensitive eye for people, and a personal visual language. My practise of "individual photography" stems from the conviction that every family has its own story, rhythms and small rituals. I aim to capture these in natural, unforced images: a fleeting smile, playful moments between siblings, a tender exchange between parents and child. My background in painting and my attention to composition influence my photographic style, as do memories from my own childhood. Before a shoot I often have a picture in my mind, yet I equally enjoy when families bring their own ideas — together we shape motifs that feel authentic. Families with young children particularly benefit from my patient, calm approach: I create a relaxed atmosphere where children can just be themselves and genuine moments emerge rather than staged poses. I enjoy accompanying families over time — from newborn sessions and baby portraits to milestone photos and yearly family gatherings. Many clients value long-term collaboration because it produces a coherent visual narrative that documents life’s changes. My images are storytelling in nature; they are meant to become the pictures you return to years later. The process is personal and straightforward: we discuss wishes and ideas beforehand, choose locations and timing that suit your family, and ensure everyone feels comfortable on the day. During the shoot I work with gentle guidance and small impulses to capture authentic moments. After the session you receive carefully edited images that work beautifully as albums, wall art or gifts.
