I’m Marcia and my work as a family photographer focuses on what endures: real connections, fleeting everyday moments and the closeness between parents and children. Based in Müllheim, I accompany families across the Müllheim–Basel–Freiburg region and create images that will feel like a piece of home years from now. My approach is documentary and attachment-oriented. Rather than posed portraits, I seek honest moments: the tired smile in the postpartum days, concentrated play at the kitchen table, the tentative grip of a small hand. With newborn and baby photography I prioritise calm, safety and sensitivity — the images should be warm memories, not staged scenes. Why choose me? As a mother and photographer I understand how quickly time passes. I specialise in preserving these everyday moments without pressure and with deep empathy. My experience with birth and postpartum photography and work for magazines and professional publications taught me how to handle intimate situations carefully while still creating strong, clear photographs. How I work: We start with a short conversation — usually by phone or video — so I can learn your wishes, routines and favourite places. Sessions take place where you feel most comfortable: at home, in a nearby park or a familiar local spot. During the shoot I remain a quiet observer: I accompany, do not direct, and capture relationships through natural activity. Afterwards I select the strongest images and edit them into a cohesive, warm visual style that carries your story. My work is driven by the belief that images create visibility and understanding.
