I’m Charleen — a family photographer based in Heidelberg, a mother of two and a trained systemic children, youth and family counselor. For more than ten years I’ve been documenting families with a focus on homestories, family reportages and newborn and maternity photography. My work isn’t about staged perfection; it’s about capturing how moments feel. My approach is documentary and empathetic. I accompany you rather than direct you: instead of forced poses I prefer to observe the small, real moments — the sleepy morning cuddles, the laughter over breakfast, the tender glances. Those in-between details are what I aim to make visible. I favour natural light, gentle blur and compositions that emphasise emotion and connection. Working together is simple and relaxed: we begin with a friendly call to talk about your wishes and the best timing. On the day I create a calm atmosphere so children can be themselves. After the session I carefully select and edit the images in a warm, timeless style that complements the feelings in the photos. Why choose me?
