Pure&Joy (Tom Schiansky) is a family photographer based near Achern in the Black Forest who focuses on capturing authentic family stories. Whether it’s relaxed family portraits, tender newborn sessions or playful children’s portraits, my approach blends thoughtful composition with a calm, personal manner. I aim for images that feel timeless — genuine interactions, honest expressions and quiet details that tell your family’s story. My studio in Lauf (close to Achern) is a comfortable, welcoming place, but many sessions happen outdoors in the Schwarzwald or at your home — especially newborn sessions where familiarity and calm matter most. I bring soft blankets, gentle props and patience, so babies and parents can relax and the most natural moments appear. What sets my work apart is the combination of technical care and a relaxed, human approach. I pay attention to light, framing and a clean visual language while guiding children with play and gentle direction. Years of experience with family and newborn photography, plus recognition in international photo awards, inform every session. The process is straightforward: after your initial contact we discuss expectations and I send a shooting guide with styling and timing tips. On the day I create a calm environment, offer friendly guidance and remain flexible so spontaneous moments become the best pictures. Editing and image selection are handled carefully; I can also advise on prints and wall art to present your favorites beautifully.
